"We bought our adorable pedigree orange roan cocker spaniel puppy, Mabel, from Angela and have been very impressed with her as a breeder. As we had lost our beloved blue roan cocker spaniel a few months previously to lymphoma, we wanted to make sure we got just the right puppy to replace him, as he was an amazing dog who had endured 6 months of chemotherapy so bravely. What I really liked firstly, was Angela's description of the puppies she was selling in her advert. She explained everything so clearly. Showing pictures and pedigrees of both the parent dogs, and every detail about the puppies that a buyer would want to know. Her detail was much better than other adverts, and you knew she really understood dogs.
When we first arrived to see Mabel she was 4 weeks old. The first thing we noticed was that the puppies were extremely well cared for and were very clean with plenty of space to run around. We could tell the puppies had been very well socialised with children and adult dogs and it was lovely to see her children playing with them. Was so nice to be able to see and fuss Mabel's mother too. We were allowed to handle and play with Mabel a lot, as it was very important for Angela to know the puppies were going to good homes.
Throughout the following weeks she kept in contact with us, sending us wonderful photos of Mabel and her brother and sisters and keeping us up to date with the puppies progress. This was so valuable to us, as we lived a long way from her and couldn't visit again until we picked Mabel up after her vaccinations at 8 weeks.
When we arrived to pick Mabel up Angela had a booklet with all Mabel's documentation in. All her pedigree and Kennel Club details, vaccination certificates and notes on exactly how to look after your puppy, which have been a brilliant help to us. Also she had filled a bag with puppy pads, toys, poop bag and a blanket with Mabel's mum's scent on. Just wonderful.
She is an excellent breeder, and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting to buy a cocker spaniel. She has been extremely helpful to us and it has been a very pleasurable experience buying Mabel. This is the fourth dog we have had in our lives, and buying Mabel was so brilliant compared to buying the others. Angela is very knowledgeable on dogs and really understands what it entails to bring up a happy well rounded puppy.
Angela is keeping in touch and always emails back straight away if we need to know anything.
Mabel is so delightful, very sociable to everyone and has settled in to our home so well, we adore her."

"I first met Lottie when she was expecting her second litter. After spending a bit of time talking to Angela and playing with Lottie, as well as Poppie and Belle from Lottie's first litter, I left knowing that I did not want a puppy from anywhere else. Angela was open, friendly and informative and all three of her dogs were friendly, healthy and well socialised. We were lucky enough to meet our dog, Cali, at 4 days old. We visited a few times prior to the day she formally joined our family. The whole process has been so special, and it hasn't ended there. Angela has been very helpful and supportive with all of my continued questions and queries. She is, quite simply, a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful source of all the doggy information you could possibly need!

"After taking a while to convince my husband in getting a dog and he agreed, we research cocker spaniels as we both love this breed. We found several adverts and contacted several breeders, however the minute I spoke to Angela she was so friendly and genuinely sounded like she loved the puppies and was very accomodating for us to come visit the puppies! When we met them we knew he was the one, but Angela was very patient and let us take our time deciding and we met her own dogs who were all so friendly and the area was very clean and well looked after and the puppies were definitely very loved in a home atmosphere.
I phoned Angela several times and she was always able to give advice and sent me many photos of my puppy to keep me up to date until I could collect him! Now he is with me I would highly recommend this breeder, always on hand to help and my puppy is an extremely happy puppy and settling in well!"

"My husband and I have had dogs all our lives but due to circumstances for the past eight years we were without. We missed the companionship and love our dogs had given us in the past and our house seemed so empty. You can imagine therefore, our joy at seeing Lottie with her first litter of puppies. Our hearts melted and we wanted them all, including Lottie! However there were only two left and a decision had to be made. Angela was so patient with us and allowed us to take as much time as we needed while she talked us through what to expect from a cocker spaniel puppy and then leading into adulthood. We have never had a cocker spaniel so all the information Angela gave us proved to be invaluable in the coming weeks and months after we brought Precious Lily, our adorable Orange Roan cocker, home at eight weeks old.
Angela encouraged us to visit every week in order for Lily to get to know us, and we her, and it was a joy to see all of the puppies growing and their personalities developing. They were all so content and happy for us to handle them and it was lovely to see the children playing with them while Lottie kept a watchful eye on her babies. Angela would patiently answer all our questions, was very supportive and we were impressed by her extensive knowledge and love of dogs.
The day arrived for us to collect Lily and we were given a puppy pack with all sorts of goodies, the relevant paperwork and an extensive information guide explaining what to expect and how to look after our puppy. However, Angela was always on the end of the phone when we needed her and her support was always excellent and reassuring to us.
Lily is eighteen months old now and is a beauty with her gorgeous green eyes that compliment her brown nose. Taking her out for a walk always takes longer than anticipated as lots of people stop to fuss her which Lily adores of course. She has a wonderful temperament, loves to play with our grandchildren, loves people and is very social with other dogs. All in all she is a delight and a joy to us and has enriched our lives in so many ways.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Angela to anyone that is considering buying a show cocker spaniel. She has really done her homework and has worked extremely hard to produce such lovely puppies and to ensure that they all go to loving homes."

"After losing our beautiful black and white cocker spaniel nearly three years ago, we felt as a family that the time had come to once again fill our home with the sound of tiny paws. When we heard that Angela's stunning Lottie was expecting a litter, we couldn't wait for their arrival - we were not disappointed. The puppies were simply adorable.
As soon as we visited Angela and her lovely family we knew that no puppy could have a better start in life. We first saw Hattie when she was just twelve days old and fell in love immediately.
Living locally, we were able to visit on a regular basis and on each occasion Angela and her family couldn't have been more patient and welcoming. It was lovely to see the puppies playing together and to be able to spend time with Hattie's beautiful mum and older sisters.

"Myself and my husband would like to say a massive thank you to Angela and her family. Little Jake is just adorable. Angela is such a fantastic breeder and is always at the end of the phone if we need any advise and support, and that shows what a true breeder she is!
We found Angela through recommendation from my husbands sister who is a veterinary nurse. On our first visit we received such a warm welcome from Angela and her family. Straight away you could feel the love they all shared for the puppies and their other dogs. All the puppies were just adorable and well looked after. Also we did not feel any pressure from Angela to purchase a puppy.
We visited Jake once a week up until he was 8 weeks old, and again nothing was a problem, communication between us and Angela was brilliant! Anyway we now have Jake at home and he has been brilliant and to top it off we have not had a disturbed nights sleep!! And we know that is down to how well Angela has trained her puppies.

"We brought our red sable Tilly from Angela and we couldn't be more happy. Tilly is our first cocker spaniel so we had lots of questions for Angela. Nothing was too much trouble and each time we visited Tilly we were made to feel very welcome. Angela also kept me up to date with pictures which was lovely and she was always at the end of the phone (and still is).
Tilly herself has been very well socialised, nothing seems to worry her, she is a chilled out puppy who takes everything in her stride. She is also very loving and likes nothing more than a cuddle and a tummy rub.
Tilly has only been with us a short time but I couldn't imagine life without her now. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Angela, she has a lovely home, family and beautiful dogs."

"After 11 years my lovely blue roan cocker spaniel died and we decided to get another puppy. Angela's website was very interesting and after a long conversation with Angela over the telephone, I was very impressed and arranged to view her litter of puppies.
On arrival to Angela's house I was very impressed. We were made to feel very welcome and were able to handle the puppies which were beautifully groomed and clean and kept in their lovely home. I was greedy and decide to have two puppies. Angela was very honest with me and told me that it would be hard work with two puppies but she would be very supportive if I decided to have them both.
Angela encouraged us to see the puppies on a regular basis but due to work commitments and the long journey we couldn't visit as much as we would have liked. Regular photos and updates were sent to us, making our experience of collecting our puppies more exciting.
On collection, Angela was full of information and very supportive. An excellent puppy pack was given to us with full kennel club details, food bowls, food, toys etc, etc. The puppies settled in with us very quickly, they are calm, well behaved girls who love their walkies and are admired by eveyone we meet.
Angela is an excellent breeder. We would recommened her litters to anyone and have already passed on her details to our friends. She is very caring, loving and the puppies have been brought up in a family environment. Thank you Angela, our girls are adorable and great fun."

Having lost our 13 year old white German Alsatian in November 2016 we never thought of having another dog. However the house seemed so empty and over a period of time a friend introduced us to her cocker spaniel (Rizla). We began to think maybe we could welcome another dog into our lives and so we contacted Angela as this is where our friend had got her cocker from.
Angela was amazing in her response to our enquiry and so sympathetic on hearing about our loss. We asked her to add our name to her waiting list and it wasn't long before she informed us that one of her dogs was coming into season and was to mate, and so began the long wait to find out if the mating was successful and once confirmed, the even longer wait to find out if there would be a little girl for us.
Angela kept us informed on a weekly basis right through the entire pregnancy and the joy on the morning of 7th April when she rang me to say 2 girls and 1 boy had been born the previous day. We were able to name our puppy from the beginning and Angela sent photos and updates every week until we were able to collect our girl on the 8th week. However....we couldn't resist the weekly visits made for the last 4 weeks (a total of over 800 miles) to have special cuddles and bonding sessions.
Angela and her family were so welcoming and we know our puppy couldn't have had a better start in life. We collected a well balanced, healthy and beautiful puppy all thanks to this fantastic breeder. We cannot thank her enough for all the help and advice given and we know that Angela will always be there if we need any further advice. Our Flora is wonderful......

Bontelsie Hot Off The Press "Archie"
When searching the internet for cocker spaniel breeders I stumbled across the excellent Bontelsie website by chance. I made contact with Angela who was so easy to chat with yet very informative and knowledgeable at the same time. Although there was a current litter of pups Angela already had a list of potential buyers and quite rightly wanted to make contact with them prior to saying if any puppies were available. Angela provided pictures of mum Emily and pups and we were smitten. We were so lucky to find that some pups were available and wanted to provisionally chose one from a photo.
We then visited Angela and met Emily and pups and also Angela's lovely family and were made to feel welcome, but not put under pressure to purchase. We were impressed with the clean family environment that the puppies were being raised in, their obvious love for Angela and hers for them, and confirmed our wish to buy the puppy we now know as Archie from the litter.
Due to bad weather we did not visit again until the day of collection, but Angela kept us informed and sent photo's to show Archie's progress. On the day of collection we received all the necessary paperwork very efficiently put together, plus comfort blanket, food and toys for Archie.
We have now had our puppy for a couple of weeks and he is absolutely gorgeous although like all puppies he is very hard work at this age. Our vet said he was a little cracker and we continue to stay in touch with Angela and she shares her knowledge and tips on puppy raising. Could not recommend her highly enough.

Bontelsie Charlie Chaz
From the moment that I contacted Angela I knew that I had found a very knowledgeable breeder but also one that adored her spaniel girls and who gave priority to giving the puppies the best start in life.
I put my name on her waiting list and within a while an orange roan puppy became available. So we went to see him when he was 4 weeks old and I fell in love with him immediately and named him Chaz. It was clear to see how well cared for the puppies were being brought up in the loving family home.
For the next 4 weeks Angela sent weekly updated of Chaz letting me know of his progress together with some beautiful photographs of him with his 2 sisters. This was so lovely to be kept updated until we could go to collect him when he was 8 weeks old.
As well as being adorable he has settled well into his new home. So calm and sociable which is all thanks to Angela for giving him the best start in life possible.
I would recommend her to anyone wishing to get a Cocker Spaniel puppy and I cannot thank her enough.
I just cannot imagine my life without him now.

Betsy was just what we wanted and she has stolen our hearts.
We found Angela after a lot of research on the internet and nearly 12 months of looking on and off. We were so very lucky to find her. We were very impressed with the Bontelsie website and all the gorgeous photo's of past puppy litters.
We have had a cocker spaniel before named "Misty" and she was such a good dog, very intelligent and loyal and therefore we wanted to make the right decision when purchasing our new puppy.
I contacted Angela and she was very informative coupled with such a warm manner. I instantly knew she was who we had been looking for. Angela placed us on her waiting list and contacted us once a litter was available. Angela invited us into her home to meet her human family and her Bontelsie girls. She was happy for us to visit her twice and both times we spent quality time with the puppies and never felt rushed. My daughters loved visiting and Kelvedon is a lovely village so we treated it as a day out.
We met mum "Lottie" too who was well behaved and so gorgeous. Angela's cocker spaniels were so well looked after and a big part of her family. She was very knowledgeable and accommodating and always answered any questions that I had.
Angela sent us weekly updates which were fantastic for us to look forward to and my children and husband couldn't wait to open the emails and read about Betsy and look at her weekly photo's. We counted down the days until pick up day.
Angela is very professional yet warm and friendly, we felt we had known her a long time. We were very impressed with the information pack, essentials and goodies which included a blanket with her mum and siblings scent on. This helped Betsy settle into her forever home.
She has settled very well - although she is a typical puppy who keeps us on our toes - she is bright, alert, intelligent and very loving. We love her very much and we highly recommend Angela and her Bontelsie cocker spaniels.

Bontelsie Gentle Whisper
We contacted Angela as we had been thinking long and hard about getting a cocker spaniel as we now have the time to give solely to a dog as we are retired. (We had always looked after the other cocker spaniels in our family circle, being nana and grandad to the other three! She adores it when they are all here, it's like a doggie party time)
Angela took great care to explain all that owning a dog takes to us, and we were invited to view the puppies. Oh what a task! We would have had them all! We chose our little girl (Whisper) and have been delighted with her, she steals the hearts of everyone she meets and people always stop to fuss her. Dear Angela,
I am not sure where to start as you have been just incredible in our journey to getting gorgeous Barney Burke!
I found Angela about 10 months ago, when I had finally convinced my husband after 4 years of nagging to get a show cocker spaniel puppy.
On a fateful day in April, I logged back on to her website to see she had a puppy available with her contact details, but sadly we were too late, as the puppy had gone to another family.
However, this was the start of a great friendship as we spoke in detail for around an hour and a half answering all my questions. We kept in contact over the following months and then I received a wonderful message the Emily had had 8 beautiful puppies. Throughout the 8 weeks, we kept in contact with photographs and amazing updates and we chose our handsome Barney.
Angela's advise has been invaluable from the puppy pen to socialising him. She organised all the vaccinations, health checks of all the puppies and kennel club registration forms too. Furthermore she stayed with mummy Emily and the puppies every night to check they were feeding properly and keep them safe. She also ensured Barney had been handled so he was extremely comfortable being touched and held. Angela specialises in the behavioural side of all puppies to
ensure they will be very secure and happy in their new homes.
We simply cannot recommend Angela enough, it is her vocation
to breed puppies - you won't find anyone as wonderful and
professional as her.

"I really don’t know where to start thanking Angela. From our first conversation, I knew I wanted a puppy from the Bontelsie family. She spent nearly an hour talking to me, telling me all there was to know about her ethos, her girls, the pups they were expecting, their dads; and of course, there were the amazing testimonials in her website clearly showing she was the kind of breeder we were looking for.
Sadly her waiting list seemed a bit long and impatience got the better of me. (The following experience was with another breeder, not Bontelsie) We ended up committing to a puppy from another breeder, who sounded great and led us to believe we would have a pup, only to take the dream away at the last minute suggesting we didn’t trust them because we asked to many questions – having never owned a dog before, I just wanted to get it right and show them we would be responsible owners. We were absolutely heartbroken after nearly 6 weeks of expecting a puppy from the other breeder, so I went back to Angela for advice because I wanted to understand what we had done wrong.
Angela took the time to talk to me and reassure me that it was nothing we had done wrong. Only when I asked if she happened to have any puppies left from her last litter, did she tell me about Spirit (now Monty) as she didn’t want to offer us a pup if we didn't feel we weren’t emotionally ready after our ordeal. She was so supportive, a delight to meet and very kind to our 5 year old daughter, who was very confused with all that had happened with the other breeder. Angela kept us updated, sending us photos and videos in between visits – even on Christmas day! Both times we visited, the puppies and their environment were very clean. Angela let us handle our puppy to our hearts' content and clearly explained her socialisation process, her sensory training with the puppies, which results in them going to their forever homes very well rounded and used to handling and family life. Her puppy pack was great and very comprehensive, but she still took the time to go through it with us, as well as giving us many useful tips. Most importantly, we left with a gorgeous, gentle and calm pup, and the reassurance that Angela is always going to be there for us.

"Clyde"
"When we were ready to look for another cocker spaniel after the death of our previous dog "Hamish" we felt we needed another dog for our existing cocker "Fergus". I searched on line and found Angela. Her website was so detailed and answered all my questions immediately.
I was away on holiday and couldn't visit but Angela answered how to go around securing a boy puppy whilst away. She was so helpful and very quick to reply to my questions, sending us details and videos.
We visited for the first time and met "Bonnie", Clyde's mother who was so calm, relaxed and so kissable, which we did many times.
"Bonnie" looked cared for and very much loved. We felt we had picked the right puppy for us because he looked thoughtful, relaxed and of course beautiful.
The only problem was we then had to wait another 4 weeks before picking him up, we counted down until the pickup date.
Angela still kept sending us further pictures without being asked.
When we picked him up to take home, Angela was so professional and caring. We felt she was very thorough, providing the goodie bag, paper work and toys. We have never had such a positive experience buying a precious puppy.
Since being home "Clyde" is so amazing. First night not a problem he went
to bed at 9:00 and woke up at 6:00am not a whimper and since then he
hasn't failed to amaze us. He is very intelligent,
listens to instructions you can see he has a good pedigree line.
We are very experienced cocker spaniel owners so know what
to expect, but he has excelled our expectations.
We cannot recommend Angela highly enough for making our experience
very reassuring, positive and enjoyable process.
